Chernobyl 01:23:40- The book explored by maps

chenobylcover Another post in my series of exploring beyond the pages of a book through maps freely available on line.

This post was inspired by a description within Andrew Leatherbarrow’s book on the Chernobyl disaster; a description of the once secret Pyestock Gas turbine testing site in the UK

Pyestock was unrelated to the events at the fated Chernobyl reactor, but his description of the soon to be demolished site, intrigued me into grabbing the mouse and go exploring among the freely available maps on the internet.
